So it's been a long time since I last posted, but I finally found the camera and some batteries that weren't dead so I could upload a bunch of pictures. The weekend before last Jeremy came and spent some time with us in Provo. The reason being he broke his leg. So it was our duty to cheer him up since he had to miss State wrestling. The funny thing is I found out later my brother Cesar also had a broken bone, but in his arm. So they're broken bone twins! Madsen loved spending time with his uncle. We always have fun with Jeremy no matter where we are or what we're doing, even in Wal-mart! It was funny to watch him test out the turning precision of the motorcarts. Madsen loved the ride, including the "off-roading" in the clothes section. Madsen definitely was well tutored that weekend in his car facts. He got his car literature in at the dentists office and a true road and range experience in the motorcart at Wal-mart!

Good luck Elder Samson!
Josh has had the opportunity to translate at the MTC for almost all of the elders that are coming from the Marshall Islands. It has been such an amazing experience for me to see these brave young men leave their home, their small island, so willingly to serve the Lord. I feel so honored to be able to support missionary work by getting to know and help most of these young men. They come from such humble circumstances and I just love getting together care packages for them. They get so excited probably because they have never received so much stuff as a gift at one time and they probably will never eat as much candy again in their life. Elder Samson was our most recent missionary who just left this week for the Gilbert Islands. We met up with him and his companion this past Sunday to say our goodbyes and to exchange addresses. Together they gave us a "marmar" as a thank you token. We know that Elder Samson is going to be an awesome, hard-working missionary.

He's 6 months old!
Madsen is 6 months old! Half a year has gone by and I still feel like it was just yesterday that our little boy came into this world. He is growing so much. He's currently weighing in at 16 lbs 12 oz. and he's 27.2 inches long! He's in the 75th percentile for length, I never would have thought that I would have a tall kid! I thought that my kids would forever blame me for being short. Well, we took Madsen today to get pictures for his six month milestone. We were originally going to do it this past Saturday, but with his cold and his reaction to his shots, which combined made for a horrible and scary weekend full of vomiting, diarrhea and fevers(you name it he had it), we definitely had to reschedule. I was a little nervous that he would be fussy since he didn't really take a nap before heading out for our appointment, but he did so well! He just kept the smiles coming and it made me so happy to have him well again. I decided for all the family that hasn't seen him yet I would set up some slides to recap the last six fun filled months of our lives.

Three months old

Thirsty little guy!
So we've decided to introduce Madsen to drinking water and loves it! He'll drink out of a grownup cup, a straw and sippy cup(this one all by himself, sometimes). He looks so cute all three ways!

Madsen Look-alike Meter
So we saw this on a friends blog and we had to try it out, especially since there are such mixed speculations of who Madsen looks like. But the results are in and I guess he looks more like me. Well I can honestly say I'm surprised, because obviously he has my hair, eyes and skin tone, but I know he has Josh's chin and cheeks and other facial features. Who do you think Madsen looks like?

My little performer!
Here he is my little piano player. I haven't even mentioned a piano lesson and here he is playing away and loving it! If he keeps this up I won't ever have to remind him to practice. :) A picture of his first concert at Aunt Bonnie's house already comfortable playing a baby grand. Of course we need to mention the lap Uncle Jeremy lended, couldn't have done it without him!

Madsen eating solids
Madsen has started eating rice cereal and vegetables. He is such a good eater! He always opens his little mouth and lunges for the spoon whenever somebody is feeding him. We can't eat in front of him without sharing our food or feeding him some of his own food. Otherwise we feel his wrath. lol. :) Enjoy the pictures of his cute little messy face.
